On November 2-8, 2006, a group of scientists participated in the School of Bioinformatics, held in Rhodes Hall on the Cornell University campus. The School was designed to use the resources available at Cornell University to introduce scientists to the field of bioinformatics. World-leading experts lectured in many subjects including software development, engineering, system architecture and modeling. After each morning of lectures, the School participants spent the afternoons in hands-on laboratory sessions putting these skills to work. A summary of the School activities is below.
